His work spans directing, cinematography, editing and color grading. He created, produced, directed, shot, edited and color-graded Perceiv’d. Those are the storytelling disciplines behind this service—not a do-it-yourself recording app.

A comfortable pace comes first. Film lengths are estimates, not guarantees. Stories, energy, comfort and usable footage determine the final length.
Travel: Included within about 60 miles of Greenville, SC. Farther locations—including Charlotte and Atlanta—are quoted in writing before scheduling. Decline the travel quote and you may cancel for a full refund.
Delivery: Most films arrive within about 45 days of recording; January–March recordings may take up to about 60 days. Timing depends on footage, editing and your supplied materials.
Optional additions: USB or DVD keepsake copy, full unedited interview, additional family interviews or photo scanning. Ask for a written quote before adding to your package.

They don’t need to perform or prepare a speech. We guide the interview with gentle questions, follow the stories that emerge and let them skip anything they would rather not discuss. Their energy and comfort help shape the recording.
Where do you film? Is travel included?
We film in person at home. Package prices include travel within about 60 miles of Greenville, South Carolina. Farther locations, including Charlotte and Atlanta, require a travel fee quoted in writing before the recording is scheduled. If you decline that quote, you may cancel for a full refund.
When will we receive the film?
Most films are delivered within about 45 days of recording, depending on the footage, editing and receipt of your materials. January–March recordings may take up to about 60 days. We give you a target date at booking and keep you updated if it changes. If our delay exceeds 120 days after recording for reasons within our control, you may request a full refund.
Can we request changes?
Yes. One review round is included. Send one consolidated list within 14 days of delivery—for example, trims, supplied photo changes or corrections to names and dates. Additional rounds, re-recording or changes in scope are quoted in writing before work begins.
Is our family’s film private?
Yes. You receive a private viewing link and a downloadable file. We keep the link active for at least 12 months; please download and keep your own copies. Your family has a permanent license for personal, non-commercial use. We do not publicly release your film, and sample excerpts require written opt-in consent.
What if their health changes before recording?
You may transfer the booking to another family member, choose a tribute film made from photos, home videos and family interviews at the same package price, keep credit under the gift provisions, or request a refund under the Purchase Terms. If your loved one passes away before recording, the booking fee is waived and the refund is in full.
How do gifts and sibling contributions work?
A gift voucher is for a named package. Book a recording date within one year of purchase; unused value remains credit toward any Elephant Room service for five years from purchase, with no inactivity fees. Siblings can contribute $25–$1,250 each through our chip-in link. We schedule when the package is fully funded. If it is not funded within 90 days, the organizer can top up, choose a smaller package with any difference refunded, or have contributions refunded in full.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel?
One reschedule is free with at least 48 hours’ notice. Before filming, cancellations within 14 days of purchase receive a full refund; after 14 days, a $100 booking fee applies, with the exceptions described in the Purchase Terms. After recording, refunds are limited to the situations in those terms. Refunds go to the original payment method within 10 business days of the request.
